Several participants and SSDAN director William Frey (left) collaborate on their Student Chip exercises.

Hands-on computer use is an integral part of the summer workshops. Professors get a chance to work with Student Chip to explore the many features available to students and examine more in depth what the SSDAN U.S. Census Datasets have to offer.

Workshop participants had a chance to hear from other professors who had used Student Chip in their classrooms.

Ruth Tucker Bogart, the software developer and distributor of Student Chip, demonstrates the features and ease of use of the Student Chip software during one of the summer workshops.  The software can be ordered through her company, ZetaData, Inc.  She also provides assistance and support for Student Chip users via phone or e-mail.
