Education. You can use this site to access both the Department of
Education page, as well as the newly unveiled No Child Left Behind
website. The DoE is an excellent resource for those looking for basic
information about government education policy. Specific sections on
preK-12 and Higher Educations are helpful, as is the research and
statistics department. No Child Left Behind is an good resource for
those wanting to learn more about President Bush's Education Plan signed
on January 8, 2002.

- Your guide to education statistics. Everything from public to
private school data are found here. Ed Stats at a Glance offers an easy
to use collection of education statistics published in 2001 and 2000;
highlights include the Conditions of Education 2000 and 2001 and
Indicators of School Crime and Safety, 2001.
- Digest of Education Statistics, 2001
- A comprehensive statistical look at American education in 2001.
Data are available on all levels of education from elementary and secondary
schooling to post secondary education. The Digest of Education Statistics
for 2001 also offers a chapter allowing the user to compare US educational
proficiency against that of other countries.
- Brown Center on Education Policy
- The Brookings Institution's Brown Center for Education Policy
addresses the latest issues in education policy in a unique and scholarly
perspective. This year's issue deal with broad subjects from
arithmetic proficiency in American Schools to an analyses of if and how
