Nation's Population Growth Slowed This Decade

The nation’s growth continues to slow, according to Vintage 2019 population estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau – the last estimates before results of the 2020 Census count of the U.S. population are released at the end of the year. The U.S. population was at 328.2 million on July 1, 2019, up 0.48% since July 1, 2018. Growth has slowed every year since 2015, when the population increased 0.73% relative to the previous year.
